Necessity of determination of residual stresses in austenic steels are considered in this article. General methods determination of residual stresses which is available today are analyzed. It is establish, that acoustic method is more suitable for control residual stresses in austenic steels. High velocity oxygen fuel (HVOF) spraying technology is widely used for different applications of machines parts surface hardening. To obtain reproducible high quality coatings, as well as for search of new prospective applications and development of existing technological processes the research of spraying parameters influence on the coatings characteristics is necessary. In the current paper the influence of combustion chamber gas temperature on the deposition efficiency is learned.

Welding and cladding processes are described by differential equations with small parameters multiplying the highest derivatives; solutions of these equations involve boundary or interior layers for sufficiently small values of the parameters. Such problems belong to singularly perturbed problems. Standard numerical methods are not suitable for solving these problems, since for small values of the parameters; errors of solutions may exceed the solution itself. We discuss the application for solving such problems of robust finite difference numerical methods, i.e., the methods, whose accuracy of solutions is independent of a particular physical process.

The features of intermetallic nickel superalloys brazing are shown in the article. The influence of brazing technology on micro structure and strength of brazed joints was investigated. It was researched the processes taking place during brazing of monocrystal intermetallic nickel alloys: the depletion of the surface layer and recrystallization.

In the article a possible formation mechanism of humping structures appearing during edge welding, is examined; modes, under which these structures are formed, are determined; methods of preventing formation of these structures are offered. The paper, alongside with the new research data, contains the main results of the previously performed works that allow clearer understanding of the problem under consideration. Certain propositions of the paper can be applied to butt welding as well.

To effectively apply mathematical modeling for multi-pass narrow gap MIG/MAG welding it is necessary to prove experimentally the developed model and adjust if needed. It is specified that to eliminate the differences between results derived from theoretical calculations and experimental data we need to take into consideration the influence of arc current and electrode diameter on the temperature of drops transferred from electrode into a weld pool.

Collected dependences allow us with engineering accuracy to specify welding parameters that ensure quality weld formation under narrow gap welding.

The paper presents the experimental dependences of the radial forming in specimens on geometric factors and the number of layers during electric resistance surfacing with a wire. The results of experimental research can be used as a basis for developing of recommendations on possible prediction of forming in thin-walled parts after electric resistance surfacing with a wire.

The article presents a mathematical model of nonlinear thermal processes when multiarc welding of the inner and outdoor welds for electric welded pipes. The developed mathematical model allows to assessing the changes in the structure of welded joints produced using flux-cored wire.

Cause and mechanisms of cold cracks formation in weld-casted parts of titanium α-alloy have been studied. Were made the fractographic investigations of cracks surfaces. Macro- and microstructures near to cracks were determined. The data of hydrogen concentrations in material of parts were obtained. The places of cracks generation and their subcritical growth were established.

Microscopic aspects of cracks generation and their subcritical growth were discused. Have been given recommendations how to prevent cold cracking in the parts.
